AUSTIN, TX– The MLS All Stars were victorious 3-1 over the Liga BBVA MX All Stars on Wednesday night.
The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Q2 Stadium to a crowd of 20,378.

MLS All-Stars versus LIGA MX All-Stars.
The match kicked off with LIGA MX starting from the center circle as they elected the build out of the back to begin the match.
LIGA MX had the first chance of the match when a cross into the area by midfielder Sergio Canales in the 6th minute was sent over the bar by forward Roberto Alvarado.
MLS had their first chance of the match when a cross into the area from a freekick by Evander in the 9th minute was headed on by Tristan Blackmon, however, Blackmon was offsides.
Evander had the next chance of the match just 4 minutes later when a freekick towards goal was saved out for a corner kick by goalkeeper Luis Malagón.
Less than 30 seconds later, Evander had another fantastic shot that forced an unbelievable save by Luis Malagón.

Juan Brunetta had the next chance for LIGA MX in the 15th minute when a long-distant shot was met with a comfortable save by goalkeeper Brad Stuver.
Agustín Palavecino had a long-distant effort in the 17th minute that snuck just wide of the net.
Less than a minute later, LIGA MX had yet another opportunity when a shot on target by midfielder Sergio Canales was saved out for a corner kick by goalkeeper Brad Stuver.
MLS had the next moment of the match when a short corner kick led to Denis Bouanga driving into the area and unleashing a strike that just missed the net in the 26th minute.
Entering the 27th minute, MLS took the lead.

Forward Denis Bouanga had the best chance of the match and drove down the left flank and unloaded a shot that was initially saved by goalkeeper Luis Malagón. After retrieving the saved shot, Bouanga sent the ball into the area for a headed finish by forward Sam Surridge.
MLS had yet another chance to score in the 32nd minute when a shot in the area by Sam Surridge was blocked away and cleared.
In the 33rd minute, MLS All Star head coach Nico Estévez made his first SEVEN changes of the match by replacing Denis Bouanga, Sam Surridge, Chucky Lozano, Anders Dreyer, Andy Najar, & Brad Stuver with Hany Mukhtar, Marco Pašalić, Tai Baribo, Diego Rossi, Jeppe Tverskov, & Dayne St. Clair.
LIGA MX net chance came in the 41st minute when an effort by Juan Brunetta snuck just wide of the net.

Less than a minute later, Hany Mukhtar had his first chance of the match when his effort from the right flank was claimed comfortably by goalkeeper Luis Malagón.
LIGA MX next chance came in the 43rd minute when Sergio Canales’ curling effort went high and wide over the bar.
Hany Mukhtar had the final moment of the half when a close-range shot in the 45+3 minute was met with a spectacular save by goalkeeper Luis Malagón. After the play, it was determined that Mukhtar was offsides.

Prior to the start of the second half, both teams made changes.
MLS All Star head coach Nico Estévez made FOUR changes by replacing Evander, Sebastian Berhalter, Kai Wagner, & Michael Boxall with Diego Luna, Cristian Espinoza, Max Arfsten, & Miles Robinson.
Liga MX All Star head coach Andre Jardine replaced his entire XI. Kevin Mier, Sebastián Cáceres, Willer Ditta, Joaquim Pereira, Elías Montiel, Gilberto Mora, Marcel Ruíz, Alejandro Zendejas, Diber Cambindo, Hugo Camberos, & Brian Rodríguez entered the match.
The second half kicked off with the MLS All-Stars starting from the center circle as they elected to build out of the back to begin the half.
With the first chance of the second half, in the 51st minute, MLS added to their lead.

Forward Diego Rossi played a fantastic through-ball to find forward Tai Baribo for the simple finish into the bottom right corner to make it 2-0.
Gilberto Mora had a chance for LIGA MX in the 61st minute when he trapped the ball just outside the penalty area, drove toward the box, and unleashed a shot that went just high over the bar.
Less than 30 seconds later, LIGA MX pulled one back.

Following a delivery into the area that was deflected, the ball was collected by Forward Gilberto Mora took a right-footed shot and buried it into the net past goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka to make it 2-1.
In the 60th minute, MLS All Star head coach Nico Estévez made SIX changes by replacing Tai Baribo, Diego Rossi, Marco Pasalic, Hany Mukhtar, & Jeppe Tverskov with Alex Freeman, Phillip Zinckernagel, Carles Gil, Ebed Vargas, & Yohei Takaoka.
Gilberto Mora had yet another chance just a minute later after he sent it high into the stands.
LIGA MX had two chances when Gilberto Mora had a chance in the 73rd minute when his effort was blocked by Jakob Glesnes.

Less than a minute later, MLS had a chance when an effort lofted into the area by Cristian Espinoza was headed away.
Diber Cambindo had a massive chance for LIGA MX just a minute later when a close-range effort was blocked away by goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka.
In the 77th minute, Liga MX All Star head coach Andre Jardine replaced Kevin Castañeda with Alan Bautista.
Entering the 80th minute, MLS All-Stars added to their lead.

Following a fast break by midfielder Carles Gil, the ball was played wide to Cristian Espinoza, into Phillip Zinckernagel, and into the box for the simple tap-in finish by Brian White. It was determined that Diego Luna did not touch the ball, and the goal was credited to White. 3-1 to MLS All-Stars.
LIGA MX had an amazing opportunity to pull one back in the 84th minute when an effort by Diber Cambindo just missed the net.
LIGA MX’s last chance came in the 90+2 minute after a shot by Gilberto Mora was met with a comfortable save by goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka.
After the 90+3 minutes, the match concluded with MLS All-Stars holding on for the 3-1 victory over Liga BBVA MX All-Stars
