FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution (5-5-4, 20 pts) battled to a 1-1 draw with D.C. United (3-6-7, 15 pts) on Wednesday night.
The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Audi Field to a crowd of 15,000.

New England Revolution Starting XI versus D.C. United
The match kicked off with New England starting from the center circle, building out of the right flank and advancing the ball into DC United’s defensive third.
New England had the first chance of the match when Ignatius Ganago’s shot in the first minute was deflected away and cleared.
DC United’s first chance came in the 4th minute when forward Jacob Murrell received the ball inside the penalty area, turned, and unleashed a low-driven shot that was deflected off the legs of Mamadou Fofana and out for a corner kick.
DC United’s next chance came in the 11th minute when a long distant shot by Boris Enow went wide of the net.
Jacob Murrell had a massive chance to score off of a header in the 17th minute, however, goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič was in the right position and made the routine save.

In the 22nd minute, Revolution midfielder Matt Polster was issued a yellow card for fouling D.C. United midfielder Boris Enow. VAR checked the play for dangerous play; however, yellow card was the final decision.
New England’s next chance came in the 28th minute when his half-volley attempt went high over the net.
Less than 2 minutes later, Tomás Chancalay had a chance of his own that went just wide the left post.
In the 39th minute, D.C. United midfielder Aaron Herrera was issued a yellow card for pushing down Revolution midfielder Carles Gil.
Entering the 45+3 minute, New England took the lead.

Following a pass down the right flank by midfielder Carles Gil, the ball found defender Brandon Bye, who then slid the ball across the penalty area where the ball was deflected by two D.C. United defender and then into the center of the penalty area where it was slotted home into the bottom left corner by defender Ilay Feingold to make it 1-0 to New England.
After 45+4 minutes, the match entered halftime with New England ahead 1-0.

Prior to the start of the second, D.C. United head coach Troy Lesesne made his first change of the match by replacing Derek Dodson with David Schnegg.
The second half kicked off with D.C. United starting from the center circle as they elected to build out of the back to start the half.
New England had the first chance of the second half when forward Ignatius Ganago looked to find Ilay Feingold at the back post in the 49th minute, however, his cross was cleared away.
New England had another chance in the 55th minute when a freekick delivery by Tomás Chancalay was just missed by defender Wyatt Omsberg.
Less than one minute later, D.C. United had a chance of their own when Hosei Kijima found João Peglow atop the area. His effort went high and wide over the net.

Ignatius Ganago and Tomás Chancalay both had chances in the 59th minute when a delivery by Carles Gil was headed down by Ganago, side footed by Chancalay, and saved by goalkeeper Luis Barraza.
In the 65th minute, D.C. United head coach Troy Lesesne made his second change of the match by replacing Connor Antley with Randall Leal
Less than a minute later, D.C. United thought they had scored with Jacob Murrell scored a goal; however, he handled the ball prior, and the goal was chalked off.
Following the call, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his first two changes of the match by replacing Tomás Chancalay & Ilay Feingold with Luis Díaz & Peyton Miller.
Luis Díaz had his first chance in the 68th minute when his shot on the right flank forced a kick save by goalkeeper Luis Barraza.

Luis Díaz had yet another chance in the 71st minute when his shot on the right flank forced a save out for a corner kick by goalkeeper Luis Barraza.
Less than a minute later, Alhassan Yusuf had yet another long distant chance that he sliced wide of the right post.
In the 73rd minute, D.C. United head coach Troy Lesesne made his third and fourth changes of the match by replacing Jacob Murrell & Hosei Kijima with Jared Stroud & Kristian Fletcher.
Alhassan Yusuf had yet another long distant effort in the 78th minute that was low-driven and drilled toward the center of the net and caught comfortably by goalkeeper Luis Barraza.
In the 80th minute, D.C. United head coach Troy Lesesne made his fifth and final change of the match by replacing João Peglow with Gabriel Pirani.

In the 81st minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his third change of the match by replacing Ignatius Ganago with Maxi Urruti.
D.C. United had a chance to score just moments later when a shot by Jared Stroud was deflected just wide of the net and out for a corner kick.
In the 84th minute, Revolution defender Mamadou Fofana was issued a yellow card for a late foul on D.C. United midfielder Brandon Servania.
D.C. United had a massive chance to equalize when midfielder Gabriel Pirani drove toward the Revolution goal and elected for a shot that was deflected out for a corner kick.
Entering the 90th minute, D.C. United leveled the scoreline.

Midfielder Gabriel Pirani uncorked a rocket of a shot that went into the top left corner to level the scoreline at 1-1.
In the 90+1 minute, D.C. United defender Kye Rowles was issued a yellow card for persistent fouling of Carles Gil.
In the 90+2 minute, D.C. United midfielder Boris Enow was issued a yellow card for persistent fouling of Carles Gil.
Luis Díaz had a massive chance to grab the winner in the 90+5 minute when his shot snuck wide of the left post.
After the 90+5 minutes, the match concluded with the scoreline level at 1-1.

With the result, New England remain in 10th place in the MLS Eastern Conference. New England currently sits 6-points out of 6th place with 2 games in hand.
