FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution (4-1-4, 13 pts) were victorious 1-0 over Charlotte FC (6-1-3, 19 pts). on Saturday Afternoon.
The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium to a crowd of 30,000.

The match kicked off with Charlotte starting in the center circle as they chose to build out of the back to begin the match.
Charlotte had the first chance of the match when a long-range effort by Ashley Westwood went high and wide over the net in the 2nd minute.
Less than a minute later Patrick Agyemang had a clear chance that was blocked away by defender Tanner Beason.
New England’s first chance came in the 5th minute when Peyton Miller’s effort forced goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina to make a save.

In the 8th minute, Charlotte defender Adilson Malanda was issued a yellow card for a foul on Ignatius Ganago.
The ensuing freekick by Carles Gil was eventually claimed by goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina.
Wilfried Zaha had a massive chance in the 12th minute when his effort from close range was stopped by goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič.
Ignatius Ganago had a chance in the 16th minute when a cross from Peyton Miller was headed on by Ganago and met with a save by Kristijan Kahlina.
Peyton Miller had yet another chance in the 31st minute when he took on Adilson Malanda and sent his shot wide of the right post.

Less than one minute later, Wilfried Zaha had the best chance of the half when he took on Tanner Beason & Brayan Ceballos before sending his shot inches past the right post.
In the 33rd minute, Revolution defender Brayan Ceballos was issued a yellow card for persistent fouling of Wilfried Zaha.
Patrick Agyemang had a chance in the 35th minute when his long-distant effort forced a diving save by Aljaž Ivačič.
Leo Campana had a chance in the 43rd minute when he received the ball from Carles Gil atop the Charlotte penalty area, however, he sent the ball high over the net.
After 45+2 minutes, the match entered halftime with the scoreline level at 0-0.

Half Time versus Charlotte FC
The second half kicked off with New England immediately advancing the ball into Charlotte’s defensive third.
Charlotte had the first chance of the second half when winger Wilfried Zaha connected with Liel Abada on the right flank. Abada opened up and had a right-footed shot that went wide of the net.
Less than a minute later, Charlotte had another chance when a header by Brandt Bronico went just over the crossbar.
Entering the 57th minute, New England had thought they gained the lead after a finish by Ignatius Ganago, however, Ganago was offsides and the goal was chalked off. It remained 0-0.
In the 60th minute, Revolution defender Mamadou Fofana was issued a yellow card for persistent fouling of Patrick Agyemang.

In the 63rd minute, Charlotte head coach Dean Smith made his first three changes of the match by replacing Pep Biel, Liel Abada & Patrick Agyemang with Kerwin Vargas, Idan Toklomati & Eryk Williamson.
Charlotte’s next chance came in the 66th minute when Idan Toklomati was left un-marked and had a header that went just over the bar.
In the 68th minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his first change of the match by replacing Ignatius Ganago with Luca Langoni.
Less than one minute later, Charlotte FC midfielder Brandt Bronico was issued a yellow card for fouling Carles Gil.

In the 73rd minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his second & third change of the match by replacing Leo Campana & Peyton Miller with Tomás Chancalay & Will Sands.
Just three minutes later, in the 76th minute, Revolution defender Will Sands was issued a yellow card after a collision with Nick Scardina.
Less than one minute later, in the 77th minute, New England took the lead.

Midfielder Carles Gil unleashed a curling shot that went into the bottom left corner past Kristian Kahlina to make it 1-0. The play was reviewed by VAR but was ultimately given.
Following the goal, Charlotte FC head coach Dean Smith was issued a yellow card.
In the 81st minute, Charlotte head coach Dean Smith made his fourth change of the match by replacing Nick Scardina with Tyger Smalls.
Just two minutes later, in the 83rd minute, Charlotte head coach Dean Smith made his fifth and final change of the match by replacing Brandt Bronico with Djibril Diani.

Charlotte’s next chance came in the 87th minute when a header by Idan Toklomati was caught comfortably by goalkeeper Aljaž Ivačič.
In the 89th minute, Charlotte midfielder Kerwin Vargas was issued a yellow card for a foul on Will Sands.
Less than a minute later, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his final two changes of the match by replacing Ilay Feingold & Carles Gil with Maxi Urruti & Brandon Bye.
New England’s next chance came in the 90th minute when a free kick taken by Maxi Urruti was saved by goalkeeper Kristian Kahlina.
Charlotte had yet another amazing opportunity to score when a header attempt by Idan Toklomati just missed in the 90+3 minute.
After 90+7 minutes, the match concluded with New England holding on to the 1-0 victory.
