SMITHFIELD, RI– New England Revolution II have announced the signing of defender Keegan Hughes
Hughes will occupy a supplemental roster slot.
Keegan Hughes is a 24-year-old, 6’3, 190lb, defender from Heath, Ohio.
At the club level, Hughes has appeared in 53 career games (4,020 minutes) across the United States. Shapiro-Hughes began his career with the Columbus Crew Academy (2013-19). He was named Academy Player of the year during the 2018 season. In 2019, he committed to Stanford University (2019-2022). Upon conclusion of his career at Stanford, Hughes signed a HGP contract with Columbus Crew (2023-24). He would play on loan for the Columbus Crew 2, FC Tulsa (2023) & Loudoun United (2024). His contract was not re-newed after the 2024 campaign and he became a free agent.
Hughes no international experience.
In career numbers, Hughes has tallied 2 goals with registered 0 assists along with 10 yellow cards.
