As we enter the business part of the season in the NHL, we are now down to the last eight teams to find out which two sides will meet in the final of the Stanley Cup.
In the Western Conference, St Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames have made in into round two with Carolina, New York Rangers, Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning joining them from the Eastern Conference.
The Avalanche will face the Blues in a best of seven match-up after Colorado easily beat the Nashville Predators 4-0 in their series.
St Louis got the better of the Minnesota Wild by 4-2 in a much tighter series, with the Blues defeating Wild 5-1 in game six.
In the other match up in the Western Conference, Flames are up against the Oilers. Both sides needing game seven to get through to the next round of the Stanley Cup, with Edmonton winning game seven 2-0 against the LA Kings whilst Calgary needed overtime to overcome the Dallas Stars.
In the Eastern Conference, Carolina Hurricanes will face the New York Rangers with the Florida Panthers up against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Hurricanes needed seven games to get the better of the Boston Bruins with the Canes taking the deciding game seven 3-2.
Rangers also needed overtime in game seven to overcome the challenge of the Pittsburgh Penguins, eventually taking the final game 4-3.
The Florida Panthers advanced to round two after defeating the Washington Capitals 4-2 in the series.
The current Stanley Cup holders the Tampa Bay Lightning needed a deciding game seven to get the better of the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 and continue their pursuit of trying to make it three Stanley Cup winners in a row.
