Leicester have announced the signing of Ayoze Perez from Newcastle in a deal rumoured to be worth around £30 million.

The news will come as a further blow to Magpies fans after Rafa Benitez’s departure last week as Mike Ashley continues to frustrate the Toon Army.
The 25-year-old joined Newcastle in 2014 from Tenerife and scored 42 times in 179 times, establishing himself as a fans favourite at St James’ Park.
He enjoyed his most successful Premier League campaign in 2018/19 as the Spaniard netted 12 times whilst providing two assists.
Speaking to LCFC TV, Perez explained his excitement at linking up with the Foxes:
“I’m very happy and very pleased. I’m very proud to be part of the Leicester family and I can’t wait to get started.
“The Club want to keep growing as much as they can and that’s something I like. I spoke with the manager and that was important. That made me feel very comfortable about the decision to come here.”
Perez becomes Leicester’s second signing this summer after James Justin signed from Luton earlier on in the window and will now link up with his teammates at their pre season training camp on France.
