The match’s only goal came in the 18th minute as Jordynn Dudley got on the end of a long ball from Tierna Davidson and then got around a defender in the box to roof it into the net. Most of the match saw Gotham more likely to get a second than the Dash an equalizer, though Kat Rader had the best chance for the Dash on a free kick that was saved by Shelby Hogan. Maggie Graham came close as well almost taking advantage of lax defending, but Hogan again made the save.
The NWSL is now off until Fourth of July weekend. Houston return to action away to Washington Spirit on July 3rd, while Gotham return to action on the Fourth of July at San Diego Wave.
