FC Dallas Maintain Home Form in Win over Galaxy

FC Dallas 2-0 LA Galaxy

FRISCO, TX–FC Dallas maintained their super home form this season with a 2-0 win over LA Galaxy at Toyota Stadium. FCD are now 7-3-2 at home and climb to 11th in the Western Conference Table, four points adrift of the playoff line. LA Galaxy remain third in the West as both LAFC and Real Salt Lake both lost on the night, though Galaxy have fewer wins than LAFC (12 to 13) and an inferior goal difference to both LAFC and RSL.

FC Dallas dominated possession all match (78-22) and it was rewarded in the 28th minute as Petar Musa scored off a rebound after Logan Farrington’s effort was saved by John McCarthy. It is Musa’s 12th goal of the season.

FCD doubled their advantage in the 55th minute. Asier Illarramendi sent a long ball that found Farrington in behind the Galaxy defense and Farrington struck past McCarthy to make it 2-0.

LA Galaxy had 11 shots on the evening, but just one or target.

FC Dallas remain home on Wednesday as they take on Austin FC at 7:30pm CT (Apple TV). LA Galaxy return home to take on Colorado Rapids on Wednesday at 7:30pm PT (Apple TV).
