Brighton & Hove Albion face out of form Bournemouth in what should be a routine win for the Seagulls

The Seagulls travel to Bournemouth on Tuesday night in what seems to be a routine win for them.

Bournemouth have been awful in recent weeks with the Cherries unable to pick any points in their last four games. Last time out, it was a bottom of the table of the clash between the Cherries which Norwich won 1-0 after a Teemu Pukki penalty got the Canaries over the line.

Brighton have had better spells in their Premier League season but they were able to get a point out of their last Premier League fixture against Aston Villa. The Seagulls got the lead in the 38th minute through Leandro Trossard with Jack Grealish levelling up the score at 1-1 for Villa in the 75th minute.

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook is suspended for the visit of his previous club Brighton as a result of his red card for handball on Saturday.

Summer signing Lloyd Kelly is under consideration for a belated Premier League debut after recovering from ankle and thigh injuries.

Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Graham Potter has no fresh injury concerns.

Jose Izquierdo and Dan Burns are Albion’s only absentees.

AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe said summer recruit Lloyd Kelly was closing in on his first taste of Premier League action.

“Lloyd Kelly is getting closer. He played an hour in a reserve game last week and it’s whether we consider he is fit enough for the Premier League.

“We will have to wait and see. It was a muscle injury so we have to be very careful with him. If it’s not this game it will be the next.”

Brighton manager Graham Potter says that the side’s principles won’t change as Albion head to AFC Bournemouth tomorrow night looking to complete a Premier League double over the Cherries.

“There’s no guarantees in football, no matter what style you play. All we can do is have our ideas and work as hard as we can to implement them.

“I’ve always said that how we play is no better or worse than anybody else’s idea, you just have to fight as best as you can.

“Results are important in this league. You can play well and lose, but if you do that at least you have something to build on. If you play badly and lose then that’s a different issue altogether.”

Bournemouth are unbeaten in the past five home league meetings, winning four of them. However, Brighton are looking to complete the league double over Bournemouth for the first time since 2007-08 in League One.
