FC Dallas 2-0 Austin FC

FRISCO, TX–FC Dallas kept their playoff hopes alive after a 2-0 win over in-state rivals Austin FC at Toyota Stadium. FCD are now unbeaten in their last five and are currently 11th, one point behind the playoff line where San Jose currently sits. Austin fall to seventh position and are just two points clear of eighth place Colorado. Both Austin and Dallas have five matches remaining.

FC Dallas just needed ninety seconds to get on the board. Logan Farrington sent a cheeky backheel to Petar Musa who scored from 12 yards out. The second Dallas goal came four minutes into the second half. On a counter attack, Patrickson Delgado sent a long bal to Bernard Kamungo who found space and time to strike it past Brad Stuver.

FC Dallas return home next Saturday to take on Colorado (7:30pm CT, Apple TV), while Austin FC next play on Wednesday in the US Open Cup semifinals at Minnesota United (7:30pm CT, Paramount+).
