Portland Timbers Briefly

What a performance by Omir Fernandez, scoring the equalizer in the last minute, as the Timbers rescued a point at home thanks to the audacity and vision of this player acquired from the Colorado Rapids.

Still, the season hasn’t been a total success after back-to-back losses against Toronto and Real Salt Lake. This team needs several creative players, and hopefully, the search will come to a close soon for the Portland Timbers in the summer transfer market.

What a job manager Phil Neville is doing lately and putting this team together despite the number of injuries mounting in notable players, but the man is holding on strong and making a case in this campaign.

However, this team is in desperate need of a creative midfielder and an effective playmaker to rally the team around him. After injuries to Santiago Moreno, Antony, and David Da Costa; the team needs to rally without these individuals.

My conclusion is that this team will have its top playmakers ready, and when these are back, hell will break loose! I mean it! This team needs to rally in the upcoming final months, and they can do it!

LAFC Briefly

A draw in the El Traffico against the Galaxy, last weekend.. Still, in the upcoming weekend, with a win over Minnesota United by 1-0, the Tinsel Town side has had its share of ups and downs.

With its top player in Denis Bouanga, healthy, this team is looking to deliver a scoring title and maybe more for LAFC, looking again to bounce back into the postseason and deliver titles and, most of all, trophies.

Still, the sudden departure of Oliver Giroud shows that the men didn’t adapt to Major League Soccer as well as he’s accustomed to showing us. In the end, the man wanted out.

A team with several top-class defenders and showing solid in its defensive backfield, as well as its attack more solid than ever as it shown in the Traffico with a six-goal score for both sides.

Forecast

A tough game, but not impossible for the Portland Timbers. But in the end, it’s another challenge!
