Tacoma Stars 4-7 St. Louis Ambush
KENT, WA–Two teams would not be making the Major Arena Soccer League playoffs this season of the eight teams participating. One of them was Utica City who have long clinched the wooden spoon. The other will be the Tacoma Stars as they fell, 7-4, to the St. Louis Ambush on Saturday at ShoWare Center. The loss put them five points adrift of the final playoff spot with one match remaining.
Tacoma had rallied from a 3-1 deficit to tie on goals from Jamael Cox and Nani Mendoza in the third quarter, but the fourth quarter would be all St. Louis as they would net four of the next five goals. Daniel Torrealba was the only multi goalscorer for the Ambush scoring the first and sixth goals for St. Louis.
Tacoma will wind up the season on Saturday at the Baltimore Blast with kickoff at 3pm PT.
