Soccer on the Sound: Stars drop close one to Strykers

Tacoma Stars 6-7 Empire Strykers

KENT, WA–The Tacoma Stars fell to the Empire Striykers, 7-6, on Friday night at the ShoWare Center. Despite a goal and three assists from Nick Perera, The Strykers got goals from seven different players in the victory to stay in the hunt for a top four spot in the playoffs as they are now level on points with Baltimore and Milwaukee, thought both have matches in hand on Empire.

The Stars did rebound on Monday night against with a 10-5 win over the Dallas Sidekicks. The Stars opened up a 5-2 lead in the first half and then would not let the Sidekicks get any close than that in the second half.
