Tacoma Stars 6-5 Baltimore Blast
KENT, WA–On Sunday, the Tacoma Stars won their fourth straight match and moved closer to a playoff spot with a 6-5 win over the Baltimore Blast. The win moves them five points clear of Dallas for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Major Arena Soccer League.
The teams exchanged goals for the first three quarters with the Blast taking the lead and then Tacoma equalizing. This process repeated for three quarters before the Stars pulled ahead in the fourth quarter thanks to a Nick Perera penalty kick and a goal by Alessandro Canale. The Blast pulled one back with under five minute left, but it would not be enough as the Stars completed the sweep following an 8-6 win on Friday.
