The Swans painfully conceded another injury time goal to lose a point against Fulham on Wednesday when Aleksandar Mitrovic headed the ball in from close range.
This is not the first time Steve Cooper’s side have been complacent during injury time this season as they dropped points against Hull, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Stoke and Reading to name a few.
With the Welsh side sitting just five points from the play off positions it wouldn’t be naive to state that with these extra points dropped, they should be much further up the table.
Steve Cooper is not certain that Kosovo international Bersant Celina will be involved in todays fixture as the 23-year-old missed out on the Fulham game with an illness.
Mike Van Der Hoorn looks set to join teammate George Byers on the side lines for the remainder of the season after under going a knee operation this week.
Wayne Routledge will also miss out as he is still nursing a knee injury suffered last week, the 35-year-old also missed the midweek game at Craven Cottage.
Blackburn will be without the suspended Darragh Lenihan after the defender picked up his tenth yellow card of the season, meaning he will miss Rovers’ next two games.
“I just think from the Fulham game and how we were dealt with, we’ve got to use our anger and frustrations to make a strong and positive impact in the game so we can take the best version of us there.
“We need to stay strong and together, and continue to plan and play as we want the team to.
“If we can show the fight, desire and pride that we did against Fulham then we’ll give ourselves a chance.”
“I think the team are functioning alright, I don’t sit here and moan too much I hope about our injury situation.
“I said after the game the other day there’s no point complaining about Bradley Dack and Lewis Holtby being injured, particularly as the team have been functioning and winning some matches without them.
“We keep going, I don’t worry too much about the personnel, just try and set the team up and look at the assets of the players and look to utilise them to help the team be successful if we can.”
