US Open Cup Third Round Set

ATLANTA, GA–The draw for the Third Round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup has been made. Sixteen clubs from Major League Soccer will meet sixteen clubs from the lower ties of American soccer. One notable absentee is current holders Nashville SC who is currently participating in the Concacaf Champions Cup and will be in the Leagues Cup later this year.

Chicago Fire FC will travel to Keyworth Stadium to take on USL Championship side Detroit City FC on Tuesday, April 14th. Six USL League One sides have made this stage of the competition. Chief among them are Richmond Kickers who will host Columbus Crew on April 15th. Another USL-1 side is FC Naples. They will host Orlando City. Westchester FC will host New York City FC, Charlotte Independence travel to Charlotte FC in a local derby, and One Knoxville FC travel to DC United, and Union Omaha will face Colorado Rapids.
