FC Dallas 0-1 Minnesota United
FRISCO, TX–Minnesota United extended their winning streak in league play to four as they defeated FC Dallas, 1-0, at Toyota Stadium. The win for the Loons lifts them to fourth in the Western Conference while Dallas drop to 8th.
Despite outshooting Minnesota, 16-5, just three of those 16 shots were on target. One of Minnesota’s three on target would be the only goal of the match. Owen Gene found Anthony Markanich making a run into the box and sent a low cross in. Michael Collodi made the initial save on Markanich, but not the rebound.
Drake Callender made three saves for the Loons who pick up their third away win this season. James Rodriguez did not play for the Loons.
FC Dallas will look to rebound at Seattle on Saturday against the Sounders (9:30pm CT, Apple TV) while Minnesota returns home to host LAFC (3:45pm CT, Apple TV/Fox).
