FOXBOROUGH, MA – The French National Team battled to a 2-1 victory over the Brazil National Team in a Road to 26 International Friendly match on Thursday night.
The match kicked off at Gillette Stadium to a crowd of 66,215.

The match kicked off with Brazil starting from kicking as they elected to play the ball backwards to goalkeeper Ederson who then elected to launch the ball into France’s defensive third.
Raphinha had the first chance of the match when a free kick delivery in-behind was trapped and then volleyed over the bar in the 5th minute.
France’s first chance came in the 9th minute when a delivery into the area by midfielder Michael Olise was sent into the area and headed high over the net by midfielder Adrian Rabiot.
Gabriel Martinelli had the best chance of the match so far for Brazil in the 26th minute when his left-footed effort snuck just wide of the left post.
In the 29th minute, Brazil defender Léo Pereira was issued a yellow card for a harsh foul on midfielder Michael Olise.
Entering the 31st minute, France took the lead.
Following a through-ball by Ousmane Dembélé, the ball fell kindly for forward Kylian Mbappé, who got in-behind and managed to chip the ball over goalkeeper Ederson to make it 1-0 to France.
Theo Hernández had the next opportunity for France in the 33rd minute when his left-footed shot snuck wide of the right post.
Matheus Cunha had the next chance for Brazil just one minute later when his right-footed effort snuck wide of the right post.
France was close to adding to their lead in the 37th minute when Kylian Mbappé sent his right-footed shot far wide of the left post.
In the 37th minute, Brazil midfielder Casemiro was issued a yellow card for dissent toward referee Guido Gonzales Jr.
Casemiro had another spectacular chance for Brazil in the 41st minute when a corner kick delivery into the area by midfielder Raphinha was headed over the bar by midfielder Casemiro.
Kylian Mbappé had the next chance for France in the 43rd minute when he received the ball inside the Brazil penalty area, took a touch, and sent the ball high over the bar.
After the initial 45+3 minutes, the match entered halftime with France ahead 1-0.

Prior to the start of the second half, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti made his first change by replacing winger Raphinha with forward Luiz Henrique.
The second half kicked off with France building out of the back to begin the second half.
Luiz Henrique had the first chance in the 50th minute when a right footed rocket was saved by goalkeeper Mike Maignan and then was sent just over the bar by winger Vinícius Júnior.
In the 52nd minute, France defender Dayot Upamencano took down defender Wesley França right outside the area. Upamencano was initially issued a yellow card and then the decision was then sent to VAR and the decision was reversed to a red-card. France would play the remaining 37 minutes with 10-men.
The ensuing free kick by Léo Pereira was saved comfortably by goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
In the 57th minute, France head coach Didier Deschamps made his first two changes of the match by replacing midfielders Aurélien Tchouaméni & Ousmane Dembélé with midfielder N’Golo Kante & defender Maxence Lacroix.
In the 62nd minute, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti made his second change of the match by replacing winger Gabriel Martinelli with forward João Pedro.
Entering the 64th minute, France added to their lead.
Midfielder Michael Olise drove down the middle of the field and laid it off to forward Hugo Ekitike for the chip over goalkeeper Ederson to make it 2-0 to France.
Following the goal, France head coach Didier Deschamps made his third & fourth changes of the match by replacing forwards Hugo Ekitike & Kylian Mbappé with forward Marcus Thuram & midfielder Désiré Doué.
Adrian Rabiot had the next chance in the 65th minute when his right-footed shot was saved by goalkeeper Ederson.
In the 71st minute, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti made three changes by replacing forward Matheus Cunha, midfielder Andrey Santos, & defender Wesley, with forward Igor Thiago, defender Danilo, & defender Roger Ibañez.
Less than one minute later, France Defender Ibrahima Konaté was issued a yellow card for a foul on forward João Pedro.
In the 75th minute, France defender Bremer was issued a yellow card for fouling midfielder Désiré Doué on a fast-break.
Entering the 78th minute, Brazil pulled one back.
Following a freekick delivery into the area, the ball fell for Casemiro, who sent the ball into the area to find midfielder Luiz Henrique, who then was sent into toward the center of the net for the ball to fall for defender Brenner to make it 2-1
In the 79th minute, Brazil defender Roger Ibañez was issued a yellow card for a harsh foul on defender Theo Hernández.
In the 84th minute, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti made another change by replacing midfielder Casemiro with midfielder Gabriel Sara.
Six minutes later, in the 90th minute, France head coach Didier Deschamps made his next two changes by replacing winger Michael Olise & defender Malo Gusto with defender Pierre Kalulu & forward Maghnes Akliouche.
In the 90+1 minute, France defender Maghnes Akliouche was issued a yellow card.
Brazil had a fantastic chance to level the match in the 90+6 minute when his right-footed effort snuck just wide of the left post.
In the 90+7 minute, France goalkeeper Mike Maignan was issued a yellow card for time wasting.
After the 90+7 minutes, the match concluded with France holding on for the 2-1 victory.
France are victorious 2-1 after a 90-minute match versus Brazil.
