Revolution II sign former Western Mass Pioneers defender Jared Smith

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution II have signed defender Jared Smith to a one-year professional contract for the remainder of the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign, with a club option for the 2027 season.

Jared Smith is a 21-year-old, 6’0, 185lb defender from Springfield, Massachusetts.

Smith joins New England after a four-year collegiate career spanning across two NCAA Division I universities. He began his career with Quinnipiac University (2020-2022). He then transferred to Seton Hall University (2023-24). During his time in college, Smith played for USL League Two side Western Mass Pioneers (2021-25). New England Revolution II (2026 – present) will be his second professional club.

In collegiate numbers, the defender has contributed 1 career goal, 17 assists, over 52 appearances

In total professional club numbers, the defender has 70 games played (55 starts, 4206 minutes played) with 8 goals & 13 assists.

Smith joins a New England Revolution II defender group that features first teamers Keegan Hughes & Damario McIntosh along with second team defenders Gabriel Dahlin, Chris Mbai-Assem, Schinieder Mimy, Jake Shannon.

Pablo Moreira and the New England Revolution II (2-2-0, 10 pts.) remain home to face Eastern Conference side Red Bull New York II (2-2-0, 8 pts.).
