FC Dallas 1-1 LAFC
FRISCO, TX–The fans came to see Son Heung-Min and saw Son open his goal scoring account with LAFC, but they also saw FC Dallas pull level and manage a draw in a 1-1 contest. FC Dallas remain 11th in the Western Conference table and five points out of the playoff places, while LAFC are fourth in the West, but could drop out of the top four pending Seattle’s result on Wednesday against Sporting Kansas City.
Son scored in the sixth minute on an exquisite free kick from 25 yards out to put LAFC ahead. There was no chance for Michael Collodi. However, FC Dallas would pull level just seven minutes later. Logan Farrington took a shot that took a defelction and caught Hugo Lloris wrong-footed.

LAFC had numerous chances to pull ahead a second time, but could not get that match winner–including one ball in the back of the net disallowed due to handball. Collodi ended up making five saves including one near the end on David Martinez.
Next up for FC Dallas is an away match against St. Louis on Saturday, September 6th at 7:30pm CT (Apple TV). LAFC play next Saturday in a California derby against San Diego with kickoff time to be announced at the time of this post.
