Portland Timbers Briefly

Back-to-back wins in Leagues Cup for Phil Neville and his team, by defeating Atletico San Luis 4-0 and later Queretaro by a 1-0 score. However, the Timbers would fall against Club America on penalties following a 1-1 draw.

Still, the club is managing to stay afloat and looking to resume in league play when they face FC Dallas on August 9th in a game scheduled on the road.

Phil Neville has become very efficient in his position as well the man becoming a one-of-a-kind manager as well as making many improvisations in his lineup and the way the squad is responding is considered amazing!

When league play resumes, the man is already looking at a playmaker from Olimpiakos in the Greek League in Norwegian winger Kristoffer Welde, for an amount of $5 million.

With Felipe Carballo on loan from Gremio and currently playing for the New York Red Bulls, the Brazilian will welcome a move to Rose City and make an impact in the lineup. He has Antony as his compatriot.

Nothing official, but in the end, these two can somehow make a world of difference, and in the long run, they can come in handy.

FC Dallas Briefly

Not the season debutante manager Eric Quill envisioned and looking forward to a possible turnaround, but in the end, the way his side is playing will be a bit difficult by the way his team is performing lately.

Still, I can see in this team one of the best academies in all of Major League Soccer and this side knows how to take advantage of it and capitalizing in selling a number of players abroad and domestically.

Manager Quill comes with good references as the man after his stint with North Dallas earned Coach of the Year mention in the 2019 season in MLS NEXT Pro and later taking the New Mexico United to several finals in the USL Championship.

Unfortunately for FC Dallas, after coming on a win against St Louis SC, they couldn’t capitalize on their momentum and ended up  succumbing to NYCFC at home, not being able to earn three valuable points at home.

 Forecast

Maybe a win on the road as manager Phil Neville his team is playing hard on the road
