Derbyshire complete signing of former Worcestershire bowler

Derbyshire have completed the signing of former Worcestershire bowler George Scrimshaw on a one-season contract.

The 23-year-old has been on trial at the club in pre-season and has impressed the coaching staff which has earnt him a contract at the club.

The club have struggled in first class cricket in recent times so will be hoping Scrimshaw can have an impact in the side to get them some consistent results in the coming season.

Their campaign begins with a trip to Birmingham to face Warwickshire at Edgbaston before the former Worcestershire man is line to make his home debut against his former club at the County Ground.
