England look to seal T20 series against India in penultimate game

England are looking to take the series in the 4th game of the series between themselves and India which may give them an opportunity to rotate in the final game.

Eoin Morgan’s side won the 3rd game on Tuesday afternoon thanks to a stunning 83* from Jos Buttler which was well backed up by Jonny Bairstow 40* to hep seal a eight wicket victory.

The away side won the toss yet again which sparked the debate that if you win the toss, you win the game which does seem a ridiculous thing to say but every game in this series follows that formula.

Over 65% of T20 matches played in the sub continent have seen the side batting second win the game which is a real concern with the World T20 taking place in India later this year.

All three matches have been incredibly one sided so far with the side fielding first holding a massive advantage over their opponent.

England had the option of bringing Moeen Ali into the side for the third game but elected to remain with Sam Curran as Mark Wood was the only change to the side, coming in for Tom Curran.

The visitors began superbly with the ball with Wood looking particuarly impressive and Morgan will be looking to him and Jofra Archer to use their real pace to get the side back to back wins for the first time in the series.

India have chopped and changed their top order with captain Virat Kohli moving down to number four as Rohit Sharma came back into the side,

It’s a crucial clash with the series on the line for India, knowing they have to win both games so you wonder if they might move Ishan Kishan back up to the top where he excelled on debut in the second game.

The fourth match starts at 1:30pm UK time today.
