Kraigg Brathwaite confirmed as West Indies Test Match captain

West Indies have confirmed that Kraigg Brathwaite will take over from Jason Holder as captain of the Test Match side.

Holder hands the reins over after leading his country in 37 matches and became their youngest skipper when he took over in 2015.

Brathwaite has had some experience leading the team in the past against Bangladesh last month with Holder absent due to concerns over Covid-19.

All rounder Holder will remain a massive part of the side and is currently ranked the top all rounder in the world so will still be a key member of the team moving forward.

Brahwaite’s first Test series as permanent captain will come next week when the side face Sri Lanka in two Test series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
