Arsenal look to win their fourth away game in a row as they travel to Wolves

Wolves will be hoping to do the double over Arsenal as they welcome the Gunners to Molineux on Tuesday night.

Arsenal continued their fantastic defensive record at the weekend as they drew 0-0 with Manchester United. The Gunners have now kept six clean sheets in their last seven games, further emphasising the sides defensive turnaround as Mikel Arteta’s men now have the second-best defensive record in the league.

The visitors will be hoping that starlet Bukayo Saka will be fit for a return to action against Wolves on Tuesday, the youngster was rested for the weekend’s fixture against the Red Devils with a minor hip injury but returned to training as usual after the game.

Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will also be expected to make his return this week after the forward missed the Gunners last three games for personal reasons. The striker returned to training on Monday meaning he may feature in the fixture.

Kieran Tierney is one player who will definitely not feature, with the Scottish fullback still experiencing discomfort in his right leg.

Arsenal fans will be eager to see what new signing Martin Odegaard has to offer, with the Norwegian featuring off the bench during Saturday’s draw. The loanee from Real Madrid could make his full debut against Wolves with Emile Smith Rowe potentially rested after fixture congestion.

Wolves will be hoping that they can do the double over Arsenal this season after their 2-1 victory at the Emirates in November. The Wanderers will however still be without Mexican striker Raul Jimenez, who is still recovering from the fractured skull he picked up in the reverse fixture.

Getting any points out of the game on Tuesday night will be a tough challenge for the side from the West Midlands, with Arsenal’s recent performances being so strong.

Since Wolves lost their talisman at the end of November the side have struggled to find the net, nobody in the Wolves team has really stepped up since the Mexican’s head injury as he remains the top goalscorer this season joint with Daniel Podence on four goals.

An Arsenal win could potentially push them up to the top six of the table and put them in serious contention for Europe again, a huge achievement bearing in mind the horrible start of the season they had.

Wolves will be searching for their first win of 2021 in a game that is hugely important in their season. A loss could see them slip down into the bottom five of the table which would be extremely worrying for the club.
