Mansfield Town go into this game of a well deserved win against Scunthorpe United ending in a 2-0 for the Stags with Crawley drawing against Macclesfield in their last fixture. In Sky Bet League Two, Crawley sits in 11th with Mansfield one place below them on two less points.
The Stags will be without long-term absentees Craig Davies and Jordan Graham for the clash. The game may come too soon for goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik and striker Andy Cook.
For the Red Devils, the two players likely to miss the weekend’s encounter are defenders Joe McNerney and Josh Dacres-Cogley.
“Our squad is humble and we are a very good team. We are slowly but surely reaching that higher standard and with this we are likely to achieve more.
“Our main objective this season is to reach the 50 point mark and after this strong start it is likely we can reach this goal and possibly reach more.”
“That team spirit is key and you get that from being together on a daily basis. We’re all together trying to achieve a common goal and those are the similarities that I recognise.
“Crawley are [now]a very mobile team and the loan signings that they’ve made have improved them no end. We’ll have to be on our mettle there to bring the points home.
“If we can train this week with the intensity that we had last week, that will only make the game easier. We’ll be looking for another positive performance.”
In the last five matches between the two clubs, Crawley and Mansfield have one win each with the other three games ending in draws.
