Dever Orgill scored two goals in the first half for Jamaica to give them a comfortable lead at the interval. Honduras got one back early in the second half through striker Antony Lozano before Jamaica regained their two-goal advantage with a goal in the 56th minute from striker Damion Lowe.
Honduras did get a late consolation goal in the 90th minute from substitute Rubilio Castillo.
The Reggae Boyz made the most of their home advantage as the tournament used a venue in the Caribbean for the first time.
