England and Algeria Both Drop Keepers

Fabio Capello has dropped Robert Green from the England side after his howler cost England a goal against the USA in Rustenburg.

His replacement is Portsmouth’s veteran keeper David James.

Meanwhile Algeria manager Rabah Saadane has also decided to replace his hapless keeper, Faouzi Chaouchi. Chaouchi allowed an effort from Robert Koren to squirm under his body in the 1-0 defeat to Slovenia.

Slavia Sofia’s Rais M Bolhi will take his place between the sticks.
