Radio Sounders is Talking Italian

Clearly not Signor Pezzano!

Radio Sounders welcomes its first live guest today as the real life manager of an Italian football club joins the show.

Giuseppe Pezzano is President of OSA Soccer Academy and the coach of Fiesole Caldine who play in Italy’s fifth tier and won their championship without losing a game last season.

Pezzano has some pessimistic views on Italy’s chances based on their first half performance against Paraguay, and although he is happy to tip Fiesole Caldine to further glory, his prediction for the eventual World Cup winners will surprise you.

Completing the Group F review, the show looks at New Zealand’s astonishing fightback against the odds and of course finishes, as is becoming customary, with something utterly atrocious from the world of football and music, in this case the official New Zealand World Cup song, One Shot for Glory, which manages to take every outdated football song cliche from the seventies, and worsen it.

Tip of the hat lads, it’s truly truly awful.
