Miller, Gil Lead Revolution to Wild 4-2 Victory Over Orlando City

New England doubled its advantage when defender Ethan Kohler won possession and found Dor Turgeman, who turned before playing the ball into space for Peyton Miller. The 18-year-old raced onto the pass and finished past Maxime Crépeau in the one-on-one to give the Revolution a 2-0 lead.

Orlando’s next opportunity came in the 60th minute when Eduard Atuesta directed an effort toward goal, but Matt Turner was there to make the save.

Two minutes later, Orlando pulled one back.

Marco Pašalić won possession before finding Justin Ellis, who played the ball into the penalty area. Ellis’ pass deflected off Will Sands and fell into the path of Iván Angulo, who converted from close range to cut New England’s lead to 2-1.

Mamadou Fofana had the next opportunity for New England in the 69th minute, but his effort sailed high over the crossbar.

Both sides made changes in the 70th minute. Revolution head coach Marko Mitrović made his first substitution of the match, replacing Jackson Yueill with Ilay Feingold, while Orlando City head coach Martin Perelman responded with his second change, bringing on Daryl Dike for Marco Pašalić.

Dor Turgeman had a golden opportunity to restore New England’s two-goal advantage in the 73rd minute when he met a delivery from Feingold inside the penalty area, but his effort sailed over the crossbar.

Two minutes later, Peyton Miller threatened for the Revolution after Will Sands played the ball into the box. Miller connected with the delivery, but his effort was deflected behind for a corner kick.

Prior to the corner kick, Orlando City head coach Martin Perelman made his third change of the match by replacing Bernardo Rhein with Harvey Sarajian.

Ilay Feingold had the next chance when his effort from atop the box after the corner kick was met with a diving save by goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau.

Peyton Miller had the next chance for New England in the 79th minute when his effort from long distance was met with a save by Maxime Crepeau.

In the 80th minute, Revolution defender Ilay Feingold was issued a yellow card for a foul on Tyrese Spicer.

Entering the 86th minute, Orlando was awarded a controversial penalty kick after the ball allegedly struck the hand of Peyton Miller. Following the decision, Revolution head coach Marko Mitrović was issued a yellow card for dissent.

Martín Ojeda stepped up and converted the ensuing penalty kick past goalkeeper Matt Turner to level the match at 2-2.

Following the equalizer, Revolution head coach Marko Mitrović made his third change of the match, replacing Dániel Gazdag with Diego Fagúndez.

In the 90+3 minute, New England responded by retaking the lead.

Midfielder Diego Fagúndez played a through ball into the path of Peyton Miller, who broke in behind the Orlando defense and finished for his second goal of the match to give New England a 3-2 lead.

In the 90+5th minute, Orlando City head coach Martin Perelman made his final change of the match, replacing Jordan Gerbet with Tiago Souza.

One minute later, New England added to its lead.

Midfielder Brooklyn Raines found Dor Turgeman, who then played the ball to Carles Gil. The Revolution captain converted for his second goal of the match to extend New England’s lead.
