An amazing afternoon for the G.O.A.T. as Lionel Messi scores a hat trick

What a debut for the greatest player in World Cup history as Leonel Messi dispatched himself with a hat trick scoring his goals in the 17th, 60th, and 76th minutes to deliver an humbling to Algeria , 3-0.

Despite turning 39 in a week, the man simply delivers a one-of-a-kind game for his beloved Albiceleste side, with a constellation of stars including Rodrigo De Paul and Alexis MacAllister providing the assists.

Messi opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a one-of-kind goal that shook the foundations of the goalposts defended by Algeria’s starting goalkeeper Luca Zidane, son of Zinedine Zidane.

Messi would also score in the 60th minute and later in the 76th minute to be the first to score a hat trick at this World Cup making things look very easy.

A sold out Kansas City Stadium (aka Arrowhead Stadium) that saw La Albiceleste come up big and seeing its team defeat the Fennec Foxes, 3-0. Argentina now set their sights on Austria on Monday in Dallas (noon CT, FOX/Telemundo), while Algeria will try to regroup against Jordan on Monday in Santa Clara (8pm PT, FS1/Telemundo).
