As the so-called Nashama delivered a worthy performance, in the end, they succumbed to a powerful European side as the Eagles of Austria delivered defeated Jordan, 3-1.

Romano Schmidt scored first for Austria in the 21st minute. Then, Jordan equalized in the 50th minute through Ali Owan. However, an own goal in the 76th minute, followed by a strike from Marco Arantovic sealed the three points for Austria as they got their first win at a World Cup since 1990 when they defeated the USA, 2-1, in Florence.

Austria will take on Argentina in Dallas on Monday (noon CT, Fox/Telemundo) while Jordan will look to rebound against Algeria on Monday in Santa Clara (8pm PT, Fox/Telemundo).
