Colorado Rapids 0-1 St. Louis City SC
COMMERCE CITY, CO–Colorado’s woes continues as they fell to St. Louis City SC, 1-0, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park extending their winless streak to five while St. Louis ended their winless streak at five as well as getting their first away win in league play after seven matches.
The match’s only goal came in the 26th minute and started off a goal kick. Roman Burki’s goal kick went to Simon Becher, whose flick-0n header managed to put Jeong Sang-bin in behind the defense and Jeong would get his first goal as a member of City SC.
Matters were made worse for the Rapids in the 51st minute as Rob Holding was shown a straight red as he was determined to have denied Becher a clear goal scoring opportunity. St. Louis would be down to ten in the 87th minute as Chris Durkin picked up two yellows in two minutes. However, neither side could find the net after Jeong’s goal and St. Louis get their first win in league play since March 21st.
Colorado will travel to Minnesota United on Wednesday (6:30pm MT, Apple TV), while St. Louis will host LAFC (7:30pm CT, Apple TV).
