Tacoma Stars 2-5 San Diego Sockers
KENT, WA–A pair of losses over the weekend have seen the Tacoma Stars dip out of the playoff places. It started with a 5-2 loss to San Diego at ShoWare Center on Saturday night. Nick Perera scored twice for the Sockers before Khai Brisco pulled on back for the Stars. The teams exchanged goals before the Sockers scored two more goals in 19 seconds late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
The next day, the Stars travelled to Ontario, CA, to face Empire Strykers and lost 10-2. A pair of Alessandro Canale goals were sandwiched between strings of five unanswered goals by the Strykers. The losses dropped the Stars to seventh place and out of the playoff places, three points adrift. The Stars have eight games remaining, but six of them are on the road where the Stars have yet to win this season (0-5-1). Their next match is at San Diego on Friday night at 7:30pm PT.
