Stars FC announce 2026 fixture list

CHICAGO, IL–Chicago Stars FC announced their fixture list for their 14th season in the NWSL on Thursday and what will be their first at Evanston’s Martin Stadium on the campus of Northwestern University. With Boston Legacy and Denver Summit entering the league now has sixteen teams and every team will continue to play the other teams home and away for a record total of 30 league matches in 2026.

The Stars will begin their season at Angel City FC on Saturday, March 15th at 6pm on Victory+ which will carry all matches not televised or streamed by ESPN, Prime, Ion, or CBS. The home opener in Evanston takes place a week later against Kansas City Current at 1pm CT on ESPN2. It will be the first of six appearances for the Stars on the networks of ESPN. Three days later, the Stars host the Pride whom the Stars defeated last season in Evanston.

Their first match against Boston Legacy will be in Evanston on Saturday, April 25th with their first match against defending champion Gotham FC in Evanston four days later. The Stars’ first match against Denver Summit will be Saturday, August 29th at Centennial Stadium with the home leg on October 4th.

With the FIFA Men’s World Cup coming to these shores in June, no regular season matches will be staged from June 1 to 28. The league will pause play for a CBA-mandated break from June 8-14 and for the remainder of the month while the Cup is taking place. The league will return to regular season play on July 3rd following the conclusion of the tournament’s group stage. The Stars will resume on July 5th against Utah Royals.

Decision Day will be Sunday, November 1st, and the Stars will be at Washington Spirit that day. The top eight teams will make the playoffs with the quarterfinals on November 6-8, the semifinals between November 13th and 15th and the NWSL Championship Game on Saturday, November 21st on CBS.
