FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution (7-7-12, 28 pts) were defeated 2-0 versus Los Angeles FC (11-7-6, 40 pts) on Saturday night.
The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium to a crowd of 30,000.

The match kicked off with LAFC starting from the center circle as they elected to launch the ball into New England’s defensive third.
Leo Campana had the first real chance of the match in the 11th minute when a high press by Ganago fell kindly for Campana to unleash a shot that was saved by Hugo Lloris.
Luca Langoni had the next chance of the match when his long distant effort in the 17th minute was deflected away for a corner kick.
Ignatius Ganago had a fantastic header entering the 18th minute that was met with a spectacular reaction save by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to keep the game scoreless.

Son Heung-Min had a fantastic chance to score in the 26th minute when a punch by goalkeeper Matt Turner fell to Son atop the box, however, Son sent his effort wide right of the net.
Denis Bouanga had the next chance of the match in the 30th minute when his effort into the area was caught and claimed by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
New England’s next chance came in the 35th minute when a curling effort by Leo Campana just missed the upper left corner.
After 45 minutes, the match entered halftime with the scoreline level at 0-0.

The second half kicked off with New England starting from the center circle as they elected to swiftly advance the ball into LAFC’s defensive third.
David Martinez had the first chance of the second half for LAFC when less than a minute into the half, Martinez had an effort that led to his feet getting tangled & his effort going wide of the net.
Son Heung-Min had a massive chance in th3 49th minute when his left footed effort snuck just wide of the left post.
Entering the 50th minute, LAFC took the lead
Following a bad giveaway by midfielder Matt Polster, the ball fell for midfielder Mark Delgado, who unleashed a curler into the top right corner to make it 1-0 to LAFC.
In the 61st minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his first change of the match by replacing Ignatius Ganago with Tomás Chancalay.
Less than a minute later, Leo Campana had a massive chance to score when his left-footed effort from outside the box went just wide of the right post.
David Martinez had a chance of his own in the 68th minute when his effort towards goal was saved comfortably by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
In the 69th minute, LAFC head coach Steve Cherundolo made his first change of the match by replacing David Martinez for Nathan Ordaz.

Just three minutes later, in the 72nd minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his second change of the match by replacing Ilay Feingold with Tanner Beason.
New England had a massive opportunity in the 74th minute when a combination play led to a shot by Tomás Chancalay that was sent very wide of the net.
In the 77th minute, LAFC head coach Steve Cherundolo made his second change of the match by replacing Mark Delgado with Mathieu Choiniere.
Son Heung-Min had a freekick chance in the 81st minute that went straight at goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Tanner Beason had a headed effort in the 84th minute that was comfortably caught by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

In the 85th minute, Revolution head coach Caleb Porter made his third and fourth changes of the match by replacing Luca Langoni & Matt Polster with Jackson Yueill & Brandon Bye
Less than a minute later, in the 86th minute, LAFC defender Igor Jesus was issued a yellow card for a foul on forward Tomás Chancalay.
New England had a massive chance in the 86th minute when an effort toward goal by Brandon Bye was met with a chest save by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Less than a minute later, in the 87th minute, Revolution defender Mamadou Fofana was issued a yellow card for fouling Son Heung-Min.
Nathan Ordaz had a chance of his own entering the 89th minute, however, his effort on goal was shot directly at goalkeeper Matt Turner.

In the 90+1 minute, LAFC head coach Steve Cherundolo made his third change of the match by replacing Denis Bouanga with Artem Smoliakov.
Son Heung-Min had his best chance of the half entering the 90+2 minute when his headed effort was saved by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Entering the 90+3 minute, LAFC added to their lead.
Forward Son Hueng-Min managed to find forward Mathieu Choinière for the simple finish to make it 2-0 to LAFC.
After the 90+4 minutes, the match concluded with Los Angeles holding on for the 2-0 victory.

With the result, New England remain in 11th place in the MLS Eastern Conference.
Caleb Porter and New England Revolution (7-7-11, 28 pts.) are on the road to face off against Eastern Conference side Columbus Crew SC (12-8-5, 44 pts). The match is set to kickoff at Lower.com Field on Saturday, August 23rd at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
