Ganago named to MLS Team of the Matchday 9 for his 1-goal, 1-assist performance v NYCFC

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution forward Ignatius Ganago has made the MLS Team of the Matchday 9 following Saturday night’s 2-0 win over New York City FC.

This is Ignatius Ganago’s first ever appearance in MLS Team of the Week.

Ignatius Ganago obtained a position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 9 for his great performance on Saturday night. Ganago, who played 83 minutes finished the match with an 8.3 rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Ignatius had 1 goal on 3 shot attempts (67% accuracy) & 1 assist. Ganago had 31 touches, 8 of which were in the opposition’s box. The forward went 17/19 (89%) on accurate passes throughout the match. He went 0/1 (0%) on successful dribbles and was dispossessed 1 time during the match. Ganago defensively had 0 tackles won with 1 clearance & 4 recoveries. The New England Revolution (3-1-4, 10 pts.) are on the road to face off against Eastern Conference side Charlotte FC (6-1-2, 19 pts). The match is set to kickoff at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, April 26th at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
