New England Revolution announce signing of Columbian center back Brayan Ceballos

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution have signed Columbian center back Brayan Ceballos from Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Fortaleza ESports Clube.

Ceballos will have a TAM roster designation & will occupy a senior roster slot and an international roster slot.

Brayan Andrés Ceballos Jiménez is a 23-year-old, 6’0, 161lb defender from Cali, Colombia.

At the club level, Ceballos has played 110 career games (8,256 minutes) across Colombia, Brazil, & Ukraine. He began his career with Universitario Popayán (2018). At the conclusion of the 2018 season, he joined Deportes Quindío (2019-2021). In December of 2021, he joined Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A side Fortaleza Esporte Clube (2021-2024). During his time with Fortaleza, he was sent on loan twice. First to Club Deportivo Popular Junior F.C. S.A. (2023-24) and more recently to Ukrainian side FC Dynamo Kyiv (2024).

Internationally, Ceballos has zero appearances for the Colombian National Team.

In total career numbers, the defender has contributed 4 career goals, 0 assists, along with 26 yellow cards and 1 red card.

In an article released to their supporters, Fortaleza confirmed the sale of Ceballos for $1,800,000.

Ceballos has been signed through the 2027 season with a club option for the 2028 campaign.
