The Portland Timbers have secured a spot in the 2024 postseason.

The Portland Timbers are in the 2024 postseason thanks to Austin FC’s loss to the LA Galaxy this past Wednesday. With the Western Conference teams, all assured their spot in the 2024 playoffs.

With one regular season game left the Portland Timbers have a foe in their Cascadia rivals the Vancouver Whitecaps to play one of the Wild Card games.

The top seven clubs advance directly to the Round One of best-of-three series, with the eighth and ninth seeds squaring off in a one-off wild card matchup.  The Timbers have qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the eighth time. Portland has an all-time MLS Cup Playoffs record of 11-5-8, having made three MLS Cup appearances (2015, 2018, 2021) and winning MLS Cup in 2015.
