FC Dallas 0-2 FC Juarez
FRISCO, TX–FC Juarez booked their spot in the Leagues Cup Round of 32 and took St. Louis City SC with them as they defeated FC Dallas, 2-0, at Toyota Stadium. The loss eliminates FC Dallas from contention.
FC Juarez went 1-0 up in the 23rd minute when Angel Zaldivar headed in a cross from Ralph Orquin. The second goal came from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute after Nkosi Tafari bundled Aviles Hurtado in the box. Hurtado would then convert the spot kick.
FC Juarez and St. Louis City will battle for top spot in West Group 3 on Sunday night at 8pm CT (Apple TV). FC Dallas will next play on August 24th, when they take on DC United (6:30pm CT, Apple TV).
