A heart warming story from Leigh Centurions owner

This week we welcomed Leigh Centurions owner Derek Beaumont on the Rugby League Review podcast.

Having recorded a 90 minute special with Derek it is very clear to see how passionate he is about the sport of Rugby League and Leigh Centurions in particular.

Having celebrated promotion to Super League he has also suffered relegation with the Leythers -relegated to the Betfred Championship at the end of the 2021 season. As much as people think he is very opinionated there is another side away from the game that people don’t see.

Like most sports, Rugby League has good and bad press but the story Derek shared with us on the podcast is one that left a lasting impression.
