Manchester Originals vs Northern Superchargers in Women’s tournament abandoned without a ball being bowled

Manchester Originals vs Northern Superchargers in the Women’s competition of the Hundred has been abandoned without a ball being bowled following some horrendous weather at Old Trafford today.

The game was due to commence at 3pm but it was called off just 15 minutes after the scheduled start time with the prospects of play extremely minimal.

This all means that the Originals have earnt their first point of the competition, while the Superchargers move onto five points and stand outright at the top of the table.

There is due to be a men’s match this evening between the same sides but the forecast isn’t the best and even a chance of that one getting underway seems remote at this stage.
