Warrington Wolves dismantle Hull KR with a first try for Greg Inglis on his Betfred Super League debut

After a close first-half, it took 42 minutes for Warrington to finally get going but when they did there was a flurry of tries, and one from debutant Greg Inglis.

It was a great win for Warrington as they grasp some consistency with their third win of the season, beating Hull Kingston Rovers 50-26.

Greg Inglis was handed his Super League debut as he started in the centre for the Wolves and the game was very even in the opening exchanges but Rovers were able to take the lead. The game was back and forth which meant that Greg Inglis wasn’t involved at all in the opening parts of the match.

Tony Smith’s Hull side bought the game to the Wire but eventually, the wall was broken down after Rovers’ resolve and after the visitors played some inviting rugby, Warrington used the quality they have and dismantled the team from East Yorkshire.

With tries from Toby King, Daryl Clark, Jake Mamo, Danny Walker, two from Josh Charnley, two from Ben Currie and one from Inglis saw a dismantling that Warrington needed to give out.

Not only to gain some consistency but to show that they are still a contender in the midst of all the news off the field with the fans being unhappy with the performances in recent times.

The primrose and blue faithful will be happy to see Charnley getting back on the scoresheet again and a huge result to secure back to back wins.

Warrington were hoping Inglis would have an immediate impact and he did, by scoring a try in the 50th minute. Crashing over the line to stretch the lead to 10 points for the home side at that point in the game.

After today, Warrington face a tough test in the Challenge Cup quarter-final against the Catalans Dragons, a team they beat last week over in the south of France.
