Gloucestershire complete signing of West Indies Test captain

Kraigg Brathwaite has agreed a deal to sign for Gloucestershire for the County Championship this summer although he isn’t expected to be around until the second half of the season.

The West Indies captain is currently leading his country in a two-match series against Sri Lanka which is currently into the second game after the first one was drawn.

The 28-year-old has had spells away previously at the likes of Yorkshire, Glamorgan and Nottinghamshire between 2017-2019.

Gloucestershire’s season begins next Thursday with a visit from Surrey to the Bristol County Ground.
