Durham bring back Australian batsmen Cameron Bancroft to Riverside

Durham have brought back batsmen Cameron Bancroft to the clue for the County Championship campaign.

He is currently featuring for Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield but once this is completed he will head for the North East.

The 28-year-old performed superbly for the county in a spell back in 2019 where he scored 726 runs at an average of 45.37 in nine County Championship appearances.

Durham begin their season with a trip to Nottinghamshire but the Aussie is in line to be over in England in May so could feature for the first time this season in a home outing against Worcestershire at the Riverside.
