With title deciding matches each week, the fate of the Bundesliga shifts every week.

RB Leipzig were siting top of the table at the start of the week, but then played to a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Foals, looking to stay in the title race galloped out to an first half two-goal lead and then a referee decision turned the match on its head. Alassane Plea thought he was fouled and within 90 seconds had complained to the referee, got booked, and kept it up and saw red. From there, Leipzig hit the overdrive button and with a last-minute equalizer from Christopher Nkunku and a share of the points were had.

Bayern Munich has found their seam and rich vein of form at the right time. A 3-1 win in Mainz and they find themselves back on top of the Bundesliga table.

Mainz coach Achim Beierlorzer said pre match, “If we get anything it is a bonus.” Mainz did their part in rolling over for FC Bayern as the Bavarian’s romped to a convincing 3-1 victory. With momentum in their favour, the big match vs Leipzig on matchday 21 looms and could be where the title can be decided to stay with Munich or go elsewhere.

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund laid out Union Berlin and did not hold back as they went on to win 5-0 and take third in the table.

In the humorously dubbed El Plastico, Hoffenheim found the juice to go up against Bayer Leverkusen and win 2-1 to go solidly seventh while B04 find themselves five points off the race for Champions League.

Fortuna Dusseldorf changed coaches bringing Uwe Rosler and nearly got the win as a late Timmy Chandler equalizer for Eintracht meant a sharing of the spoils 1-1.

Werder Bremen took an early lead but their lead didn’t last as FC Augsburg was allowed two goals to take the three points and send the Big Green home with thoughts of how to salvage their season.

FC Koln under new coach Markus Gisdol keeps finding wins as they earned a convincing 4-0 win over SC Freiburg to put a five points gap between themselves in 14th and relegation danger zone of 15th.

Wolfsburg found out how to win again and put Paderborn back to the bottom of the table with a 4-2 win.

If a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound? Schalke & Hertha Berlin played out a 0-0 draw.

Player of the Week:

Jadon Sancho has quietly been taking care of business and with a goal and an assist helped raise up BVB in a 5-0 demolition, he is top of his game right now.
