After weeks of speculation and rumours, Christian Eriksen has landed in Milan to complete his medical to join Inter Milan.

Becoming the Nerazzurri’s third arrival from the Premier League for a £16.8m fee and wages of £320,000 per week according to Sky Sports.

The Danish refused to sign a contract extension with Tottenham earlier this season to display his will to leave the club.

Despite manager Jose Mourinho criticising the timing of the move. The Spurs boss commented on the situation after their 1-1 draw with Southampton:  “I just want to say that this situation shouldn’t happen on 25 January. The only thing I can say is Eriksen, since I arrive, he is behaving in a very, very professional way, with me and the team. But to be on 25 January in a situation like this is not nice.”

Eriksen will be joining Inter with three days left in the transfer window after spending seven years with the London club.

The 27-year-old played 304 games, scoring 69 goals and producing 89 assists since joining from Ajax in 2013.

He will be trying to improve his current season record in his new colours after recording an underwhelming three goals and three assists in 28 appearances.

Eriksen was spotted greeting the Inter fans following his arrival in the city.

Inter manager Antonio Conte will be delighted to know that he has a potential boost to his title race, currently positioned second behind Juventus with a difference of three points but also challenged by Lazio in third place, two points behind.
