Erling Braut Haaland scored nine goals for Norway’s under-20 team against Honduras with the Norwegians cruising to a 12-0 win at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Poland.
Haaland, the son of former Manchester City and Leeds United midfielder Alf-Inge Haaland, scored a seventh minute opener in the tie against Honduras, who ended the match with nine men, with the Norwegian grabbing his ninth and last goal in the 90th minute.
The Red-Bull Salzburg striker is only 18 years old and has a bright future ahead of him already with the record-breaking feat.
The striker was born in Leeds, where his father was playing at the time.
Norway’s victory saw them finish third in their group with Honduras finishing in last place.
Only the top two from each of the six groups qualify automatically; Norway must wait to see if they also go through as one of the four best third-placed teams.
