Icardi wants Inter stay, insists Wanda

Wanda Nara has insisted that husband and Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi wants to stay with the Serie A club.

The Argentine has not featured for Inter since being stripped of the captaincy on February 13.

Icardi has also not been attending matches and was not present on Sunday when Inter defeated SPAL 2-0 at the San Siro.

Icardi is also reportedly battling a knee injury, a claim which Wanda stands by and also expresses that the 26-year-old forward wants to remain in Milan.

Speaking with Tiki Taka she said:

“Mauro wants to stay at Inter. I’m working to make him feel good and make peace with the club. We also chose a lawyer who’s an Inter fan.

“The knee problem is’t an invention. He’s taking care of himself 24 hours a day.”

Wanda, also Icardi’s agent, also addressed why the striker was not at the game on Sunday.

“Absent at San Siro against SPAL? We stayed at home with our family watching the game.”

Inter are next in action against Frankfurt in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 clash. The first leg in Germany ended 0-0.
