Grealish attacker pleads guilty

The fan who attacked Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has pleaded guilty at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court to assault and pitch invading.

The man, identified as Paul Mitchell, 27, of Rubery was arrested and charged after running onto the field during Villa’s 1-0 victory over Birmingham on Sunday.

Mitchell struck Grealish around the back of the head and neck.

The 27-year-old pleaded guilty on both counts.

Grealish went on to score the winner in Sunday’s derby clash.
